Why Natsuki?
Natsuki Shinohara is a spirited and popular 18-year-old high school student and a close friend of Kenji Koiso whom she hires to meet her large extended family for Sakae Jinnouchi's (Natsuki's great-grandmother) 90th birthday. While away, she ends up having to save the world through the virtual world called "OZ" against a deadly computer virus.
This is particular version is her final form avatar when she enters into a game of Hana Fuda. When I saw this moment for the first time, I fell in love with how elegant yet powerful this look was.

How It Was Made
This outfit consists of two kimono. These were based off a pattern that I purchased, but them altered so as to create the proper style sleeve. The obi was a unique process. As I couldn't find a blue brocade that matched the look I wanted, I got creative. For the flower designs, I took another brocade and cut out he details and then added them to my obi.
The wings were able to be slipped down the back of the kimono and were anchored into the obi. The wings span roughly about my height, which is 5'8". The feathers were trimmed into a slightly sharper point and then were all hand colored into the gold coloring.
