Why Vanessa?
Villains make the world of Disney go round. Without the power of some of the most iconic villains, the stories we have grown to love, they would never reach and go the distance to be the hero. Vanessa is the human form of the Sea Witch, Ursula. Using the power of the stolen voice of Ariel, she manipulates and takes control of Prince Eric. And nearly succeeded in marrying him to the finally lay calm to the final prize of the princess Ariel and in turn, Atlantica.

How It Was Made
A simple dress for a complex character. The skirt was just a basic circle skirt so that when I would move, it would create beautiful movement. While I found a wonderful and perfect color for this skirt, the correct side was covered in glitter. So I used the wrong side of the material.
The top was based off a pre-existing pattern, though with slight modifications to make it what I needed it to be. Steel boning added a small bit of extra structure for the top.
The necklace was crafted by Christa Newman.
