Black Magic Girl
A Little Bit of Magic in a Pandemic World.
Like many during the pandemic, I was bored and wanted to find was to make things that we used to do happen. While I have never been super big into dressing up for Halloween (Ironic, isn't it?) I really wanted to try and make a cute little witch outfit. Pulling some left over materials from past projects, I decided to make something cute and fun!
I wanted to go for "magical girl" vibes with a witchy flair.

How It Was Made
I wanted the skirt to have lots of movement and bounce to it when I wore it and very happily achieved that by opting to go with a cute high low look with a very full crinoline for underneath. To add to it even more, the skirts all have horsehair braid throughout.
The top was a custom pattern, and all the trim was also custom made as well. I added the sheer sleeve to the top for something a little airy and flowy.
The hat is my favorite element. It is a EVA foam base covered in the fabric to match the dress. The flowers were from JoAnns, which I added a little more painting detail to in order for them to pop more.
Paired with a pair of a thigh high heels and a long braided wig with some cute additional freckles to my natural ones and tada! A fun and very cute Halloween design!
